The Challenge
An energy startup came to us with a problem: people upload their utility bills but the data in those bills is a mess — different formats, different providers, different rate structures. They needed AI to read the bills, pull consumption data from provider APIs, figure out available rebates by state, and handle subscriptions.
Our Approach
We plugged in OpenAI to read uploaded bills and extract the relevant numbers — charges, usage, rate tiers. Connected to utility provider APIs so the platform can track consumption in real time. Built a rebate engine that knows which state-level programs apply. Stripe handles the subscription billing side.
