The Challenge

The factory was relying on human inspectors to check glass coming off the line. They were missing defects, the process was slow, and when they tried to search through historical inspection data — millions of records — the existing tools just choked.

Our Approach

We built a search and filter system that can actually handle millions of records without falling over. Rewrote the database queries, added async rendering, and the whole thing got 2-3x faster. Also built a custom annotation tool so quality engineers can mark up defect images right inside the app.
